Memang sangat bagus twitnya sampai akhirnya saya juga follow. Haha. Agak sedikit girly, maksudnya kebanyakan dari sudut pandang si perempuan. Tapi bagus lho,,,seriusan! Trip to Pramuka Island

Snorkeling, Scuba diving, & white sand beach near to Jakarta? well, you gotta go to Pramuka Island!  I was so happy when suddenly some of my Siawares friend asked me to join their vacation around Christmas last year.  Of course, I said of ”yes” without take too much consideration. Pramuka Island is the nice place in kepulauan Seribu (thousands Island) where I never visit to. That’s why I was so excited. Yeah, I think go to the beach is kind of fun vacation and easy as no need special equipment, preparation and less costly compared to hiking and other mountain trip. hahaha

The lovely things you can do is snorkeling. I love snorkeling because I can enjoy the corals with simple equipment and no need special skills. Well, Let me describe more complete each interesting place and activity.

Islands Tour by Boat

We’ve visited 4 major and beautiful islands around Pramuka. The Pramuka itself is the center of government of Kepulauan Seribu sub district. It’s Part of Jakarta anyway although the distance is like 2 hous by boat. The pramuka is crowded with housing and some governments building without a white sand beach, but there has a comfort place for base camp of the entire trip. The first activity I had was the island trip. The first island we’ve visited was the Pulau Air, we had no special activity during this trip except just taken some picture, but trust me there has a lot of beautiful scenery spot that will make you want to be always on the pcture. Hehe.

the second island was the Semak Daun Island, just like the first island, it has beautiful while sand beach, a small port and lots of mangrove conservation spot. You can also have a snorkeling excersie during here.

The third island was The Karya Island, it’s the center of police  and cemetery of Kepulauan Seribu, there’s a football yard and some government building. Not really special actually but you still can enjoy the quiet condition there.

The fouth was the “terapung Island” it’s not an island actually. It just a coral that lately has been created as  conservation for some fish species. There’s also a restaurant and some building made from wood and bamboo. That’s why they called it as “floating island”. Then we goin back to pramuka to take a reast a prepared ourself to the barbeque party.

Snorkeling

Yes, this is the most lovely thing I could enjoy there. The boat that we’ve rented for our entire trip brought us to a snorkeling spot near to terapung island. All the snorkeling equipment has been prepared by the guide. Then we went to semak daun Island just to practice and take some picture. then we headed to what they called APL (I don’t what this stands for). It is the common place/spot for snorkeling. Oh, I wish I  have an underwater casing for my camera, so I could have capture beautiful underwater scenery.

While we take a rest after had a tired activity of photography, we could enjoy the pramuka like walking around the island, take picture, go to the turtle conservation, etc.

How much it cost?

There are many kinds of package you could take but I don’t know exactly as I didn’t take a part in organizing that vacation. I just Paid Rp. 350.000 for 2 days and one night trip. I visited 4 island by rented boat (included on the package), snorkeling, one guide, barbeque in the night, visited turtle conservation, 4 times meals, accommodation (not a hotel) and transportation from jakarta (of course by boat). That price is minimum occupied by 10 particpant, so if your group is less than ten, the cost will be a little bit higher.

I think that’s worthy enough with such amazing trip I had.

Indonesia’s Rank in Global Energy Reserve 2011!

Berbicara mengenai peringkat berarti berbicara mengenai sesuatu yang menjadi “prestige”, harga diri (apeuuu banget,,, ) dan reputasi dari seseorang, suatu institusi atau bahkan Negara. Kadang demi suatu prestige ini suatu institusi misalnya rela melakukan usaha yang gila-gilaan. Sebagai contoh ketika suatu kampus ingin mempunyai titel “a world class university” maka ia akan mengalokasikan dana yang sangat besar untuk mencapainya. Wajar! Atau peringkat perolehan medali di Sea Games, Indonesia juga sudah berusaha sejak bertahun-tahun yang lalu dan akhirnya tahun ini baru terwujud. Jadi rangking itu penting banget. Oke, kali ini tiba-tiba ingin menyampaikan peringkat suatu Negara berdasarkan sesuatu yang memang sudah “given” artinya memang pemberian tuhan ya segitu,,,tidak bisa dinaikkan atau diturunkan, yaitu Energy Reserve! Apakah itu prestige juga? Hmmm…gimana ya? Karena pemberian,,,jadi gak perlu membangga-banggakan diri kali ya. Yang kebetulan dianugerahkan kaya bersyukur dan yang miskin ya bersabar dan jangan ngaku-ngaku kaya..haha

Sebetulnya cakupan energy itu sangat luas, tapi di tulisan ini hanya akan membahas peringkat dari sisi  “primary” aja seperti minyak bumi, gas alam dan batubara. Ceritanya ini berawal dari pencarian data untuk bahan Local Review Presentation dan akhirnya terdamparlah pada site “langganan” saya kalau lagi cari data-data serupa, yaitu  the BP statistical Review of World Energy 2011. Sebetulnya hanya data pemanis yang mendukung argumen-argumen saya pada slide tersebut. Hehe. Nothing special!

Anyway,,,kalau dilihat secara keseluruhan, kita itu tergolong miskin lho. Data tahun 2010 menunjukan bahwa tidak ada yang istimewa dari cadangan energi Indonesia. Mari kita bahas satu per satu :

Sekali lagi saya hanya mengingatkan, bahwa Indonesia adalah negara yang miskin dengan cadangan minyak. Tuh tengok saja, saat ini Indonesia berada di peringkat 28 dengan nilai 4.2 Milyar barrels atau 0.3 % cadangan dunia. Miris sekali,,ternyata sedikit sekali. Angka ini jauh di bawah Arab Saudi dan bahkan masih lebih kecil dari negara tetangga kita Malaysia dan Vietnam . Jadi, tolong lah,,,jangan pernah berfikir lagi kita adalah Negara kaya. Berfikir seperti ini cenderung membuat kita malas. Dengan angka cadangan sebesar itu hanya cukup untuk 11.8 tahun dengan catatan laju produksinya sama dan tidak ditemukannya cadangan-cadangan baru. Waduh-waduh,,,

Kalau lihat dari data itu, sebetulnya bekerja di Oil and Gas Industry itu tidak begitu “secure” loh. Kayanya salah nih masuk ke sector ini,,,hahaha. Wah,,,harus buru-buru keluar. hahaha

Kalau ini sedikit mending, tapi tetep kita masih tergolong miskin untuk cadangan gas. Kita berada di urutan 12 dengan jumlah cadangan terbukti sebesar 3.1 triliun kubik meter atau sebesar 1.3 % cadangan gas alam dunia. Itu cukup untuk 37 tahun saja pemirsah… .  The big three masih tetep dipegang Rusia, Iran dan Qatar. Jika ketiga Negara ini dijumlahkan maka sudah mengusasi lebih dari setengah cadangan dunia. Nah, mereka bertiga ini nih baru boleh dikatakan kaya. Kita tetap miskin. Hehe.

Batubara

Perut bumi Indonesia juga tidak terlalu banyak mengandung batubara. Saat ini Indonesia berada di peringkat 13 dengan 5.529 Juta ton. Dan baru tahu ya si US ada di posisi pertama. Sialan! Kaya banget ternyata si US. Minyaknya banyak, gas nya juga mayan eh batubaranya juga terbanyak. grrrrrrr

Seperti biasa, kalau dapet sesuatu yang baru, mesti di post di blog. Hehe. Ya biar ketika lupa bisa dibaca lagi atau lebih jauh lagi bisa sharing-sharing info dengan blogger yang lain. Double benefits! Yeayy

Alright, saat ini saya menemukan hal yang baru tentang suatu alat bernama “totco”. Pertama kali mendengar itu saat job di Cepu beberapa bulan yang lalu. Saat itu sedang ngebor top hole, eh,,nggak deng, section 17.5 inch. Hehe. Oia, karena floor nya miring dan gak center dengan BOP, jadinya kita-kita hampir nabrak sumur sebelah. Kita tahu itu karena setelah cutting yang keluar berupa cement. ː̗̀(☉.☉) ː̖́ Wait,,,wait,,wait a minute! Seketika semua orang pada bengong dan akhirnya sadar kalau itu berasal dari semen sumur sebelah…hahahaha. Kocak banget! Ya maklum, dulu ngebor sumur yang kedua which is jaraknya gak terlalu jauh. 5 meter ada kali ya (yang gak wajar ya rig nya ‎​┌п┐►_◄┌п┐, we were in danger, you know!),,,oke, abis itu dicoba drop “totco” untuk tahu kemiringan sumur yang sedang di bor. Nah, itulah kali pertama saya mendengar kata aneh itu, sekarang ketemu lagi dan bertanyalah saya pada driller dan tool pusher tentang alat itu, cara kerjanya gimana, pasangnya gimana, dll.

Jadi, totco itu adalah sederhananya disebut sebagai “deviation survey” – alat yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemiringan lubang dari vertical dalam satuan derajat. Alatnya simpel banget, kaya kompas yang tetap vertical apapun yang terjadi. Alat dimasukan ke dalam tabung, tabung lantas dimasukan lagi ke dalam tabung yang lebih panjang, dieratkan dan akhirnya di drop ke dalam string. Oia, sebelum di drop, si totco nya di set suapaya bisa nempak arahnya menit tertentu, tinggal di set. Simpel kan? Abis itu, saat string nya dicabut, baru deh di lihat,,arahnya berapa derajat tuh lubang,,,yuhuuu -(‾▿‾)/ \(‾▿‾)-

a “GO GREEN” rig

I think everybody knows that Environmental Issue has been a hot topic since some previous decades. It’s now being the top priority at work. So, It’s useless when a company has reached their goal but got any accident in it (could be work personnel or environmental) let say BP oil spill at Gulf of Mexico or the Exxon Val Dez Tragedy.

Oh come on,,,that a big things to talk. Let’s pick up a small thing around us, Garbage Problem! I’m surprised when I work in a rig, a national one. It has good way to comply to environment by separating garbage into 3 container (organic, inorganic and B3). Anyway, it’s my first time found such thing from 5 different rig I’ve work with. Good Job!!!! I hope they continue the processing till the end of cycle, not only in at the rig site. May be other rig has that regulation since long long time ago, but for me, it surprising you know….other things I found here are clean location, neat lay out, proper poster, and complete PPE they had

Anyway, this article is a real way responding to my friend facebook status I’ve read last several hours.

“An oilfield worker is missing his family while providing a service that keeps you on the road and provides you with many comforts of today. It’s OILFIELD APPRECIATION WEEK, reply if you are oilfield worker or appreciate one, if you don’t appreciate one, TURN YOUR CAR and A/C OFF and never buy plastic again. That’s a petroleum product too!”

For me, I have my own way to participate on what they called “Oilfield Appreciation Week”. Yeahh,,appreciating a “GO GREEN” rig is a good idea. I wish it would be a model (in term of garbage handling ) for other rig….

Yeahhh…let’s save our earth!
